A Sustainable Rising Tide with Shambala Festival

Shambala is an award-winning UK leader in outdoor event sustainability. Its organisers have consistently innovated, finding new ways to reduce carbon impacts and make positive contributions to the wider conversations around environmental practices. Nordic’s wristbands contribute to helping save the oceans, as they are manufactured from ocean-bound plastics.

Christopher Johnson, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Shambala Festival, says,

"As a festival we make informed choices about all of our products based on evidence of sustainable credentials.  We chose Nordic wristbands because they are made from reclaimed ocean-bound plastic that is at risk of ending up in oceans - with all the associated harm to wildlife - and the material is independently verified by Ocean Bound Plastics certification.”

Nordic Wristband’s UK distributors introduced the new Recycled Ocean Plastic (ROP) wristbands to Shambala’s production team as a new product, knowing that they make every effort in all aspects of delivering a sustainable festival. These high-quality wristbands, certified as manufactured from ocean-bound plastics, appealed to the team, who were keen to use them to help reduce ocean plastics.

“I was delighted to join the sold-out audience at this 25th anniversary edition.
