For Nordic Wristbands, sustainability begins with product design and material selection. Our goal is to reduce avoidable impact while continuing to meet the practical requirements of event access, identification and RFID-enabled systems.
Reducing production-related emissions
Based on our company emissions calculations, production-related emissions fell from 302 tonnes CO₂e in 2023 to 168 tonnes CO₂e in 2024—a reduction of approximately 44%. We continue to prioritise direct reductions through material choices, manufacturing policies, product development and operational improvements.
For production-related emissions that cannot yet be avoided, we support certified carbon projects through Stand For Trees. Offsetting is used alongside reduction work, not as a replacement for it.
Expanding material choices
Our range includes wristbands, lanyards, cards and tags made with recycled polyester and RPET, GRS 4.0-certified recycled polyester, materials certified to the OCEAN BOUND PLASTIC RECYCLING STANDARD V2.2, bamboo, hemp, organic cotton, wood and cork.
Not every material is suitable for every event. Wearing time, security, printing, closures, RFID compatibility, local waste infrastructure and minimum quantities all influence the best choice. We therefore publish product-specific information and help clients compare options for their intended application.
Continuous improvement
Material claims should be specific, traceable and relevant to the product being supplied. We continue to review new materials, reduce unnecessary use of virgin plastics and improve the data behind our decisions. Our sustainable-products selection below shows the options currently available.
